About This Game "I met Anne first, waiting for the bus. I asked her what she was selling and she laughed and said nothing, nothing at all, that what she had to offer was free for anyone who wanted it bad enough. I asked her what had helped her. She just said 'James.'"Sagebrush is a short-form first-person narrative adventure about exploring the compound of an apocalyptic Millenialist cult in remote New Mexico years after they collectively took their lives in a mass suicide event. In Sagebrush, you'll investigate the long-abandoned Black Sage Ranch, the former home of Perfect Heaven, an apocalyptic cult formed in the early 1990s under the guiding hand of the prophet Father James.Inspired by Real-World Apocalyptic CultsBased on extensive research into cult groups both famous and obscure, large and small, Sagebrush avoids simplistic motivations and easy answers. The members of the Flock are diverse and complex people with varied needs, hopes, and fears. An Immersive, Lo-Fi 3D WorldSagebrush features an evocative low-poly, low-resolution, less-is-more art style that combines retro aesthetics with modern technology, along with a fully-realized soundscape and an original ambient musical score that immerses you in the remote New Mexico desert.A Whole Compound to ExploreBlack Sage Ranch is yours to wander, from the trailers that housed the cultists, to the halls where they gathered for food and prayer, to the old mines that stretch out below the compound, untouched for nearly a century.Uncover the Real StoryFind notes, recordings, and belongings that give insight into the people who lived at Black Sage Ranch. What did they believe? Why did they join? Were they happy? And why did they choose to end it all?Estimated Playtime: 60-120 minutes 7aa9394dea Title: SagebrushGenre: Adventure, IndieDeveloper:Redact GamesPublisher:Redact GamesRelease Date: 18 Sep, 2018 Sagebrush Crack Cd sagebrush us state nickname. sagebrush treatment center. sagebrush near me. sagebrush wormwood. sagebrush executive oversight committee. sagebrush steakhouse gluten free menu. sagebrush cantina brunch. sagebrush us state. sagebrush facts. 5718 sagebrush trail arlington tx. exercise sagebrush. sagebrush hip pack. sagebrush oxford mi. sagebrush cafe quartz hill california. 4601 sagebrush trail. sagebrush fire. sagebrush theater. sagebrush edible. sagebrush spirit riding free. sagebrush wytheville. 7700 sagebrush ct. 849 sagebrush dr austin tx. 2609 sagebrush flower mound. sagebrush nc. 902 sagebrush dr. sagebrush newport tn. sagebrush jobs. richard zokol sagebrush. sagebrush steppe. 508 sagebrush lane waxahachie tx. sagebrush apartments. sagebrush 27030. 11 sagebrush north attleboro. download the sagebrush app. sagebrush pharmacy. sagebrush adaptations. queen sagebrush theatre. sagebrush ecosystem. 30 sagebrush wichita ks. 3400 sagebrush blvd evans co. sagebrush packs. sagebrush realty. sagebrush job application. 6235 sagebrush orange tx. 3500 sagebrush place yukon ok. sagebrush rebellion apush. jp sagebrush llc. mac sagebrush. sagebrush medical center. sagebrush mt airy. sagebrush newport. sagebrush annealing machine. sagebrush biome. sagebrush young. 7973 sagebrush court boulder co. sagebrush bush. sagebrush wood. sagebrush coffee. sagebrush phone number. sagebrush waynesville. sagebrush 28557. sagebrush usa. sagebrush denver nc. sagebrush wyoming. sagebrush hall csun. sagebrush living free. dirección sagebrush keystone. 7980 sagebrush pl. sagebrush dry pack. sagebrush laser 0370. sagebrush font free. sagebrush 4h. sagebrush seeds. sagebrush inn santa fe. sagebrush pearl. sagebrush los lunas. sagebrush package store. sagebrush church. sagebrush rebellion I'm not really good with words, but this is a really wonderful game y'all, and everyone should play it. It's completely worth the price of admission, and I sincerely wish this developer the best for this game and any games that follow.. A fantastic experience. The story is intriguing and very well told, with some simple puzzles to propel you through the hour and a half. Up there with Paratopic as an example of telling a fascinating story through games. Highly recommended.. Assured, compelling, doesn't outstay its welcome.. Sagebrush certainly had potential, however unlike the titles it shadows (Dear Esther, Gone home, etc.) it lacks a compelling or interesting narrative. It is simply a regurgitation of the Jonestown tragedy presented at point blank to the backdrop of god-awful screenplay and abysmal voice acting. The graphics are not the saving grace for sagebrush, as a multitude of titles employee the exact same gimmick (September 1999, First Winter, ext.) and are arguably more profound in their usage.. It's hard to decide whether to choose 'reccomend' or 'not reccommend'. I bought this game on a whim when it crossed my queue. it's rare that I pick up a walking simulator, since they live and die off the storytelling, and few indie devs have pulled that off really well. Spoilers to follow. The Bad:The low graphical quality of the game made it very easy to overlook things until getting used to the thought process, at which point it became predictable where the next key would be. The sun falling as the story progressed, while thematically great, made it very difficult to navigate the compound for the middle to late story. I think this could have been mitigated with higher-resolution graphics, or even just a 'you are here' thing on the map. The story itself was exceptionally predictable, in fact as I was composing some of this review in my head during the gameplay, I remember thinking "The only difference between this, and the cult episode of Criminal Minds is that James hasn't been shown to sleep with underaged followers" less than a minute before I got the note that removed that difference. Pressing B(I was playing on a gamepad, and I don't know if this criticism applies to the mouse and keyboard setup) to leave the map also turned the flashlight off, and the fact that the 'leave map' button was not the same as 'leave inventory' was frustrating, and in the short gameplay time, I did not have time to get used to it. The audio diaries would have benefited greatly from 'show, don't tell.' Rather than the audio logs from Bioshock or Halo ODST, we don't get so hear the events as they happen, we just hear a summary of the events, much as if it were just a voiceover on the title screen. The diaries were better, being 'in the moment'. The final 'key' which unlocked the church didn't feel like it belonged in the same world as the others, but it didn't act differently than anything else. The good:Everything that happened starting with the recorder in the chapel. After that point, the exposition stopped being just voiceover, and the scenes started reflecting what was actually being discussed or happening. The doors closing behind you a few moments after you've stepped into the room was actually nice and creepy. As before, the notes scattered around were well done. I just wish that there had been more to find out about the supporting cast, not just the little bits that were near the plot coupons. The fact that the map was oriented to the compound rather than to have north be at the top of the map made me actually think when it came time to visit the cornfield. That said, the sun was rising in the shot as I came out of the chapel. Based on the map, that would put the sun rising in the west. Was that intentional or just an oversight? At the end of the day, I have to give the game a solid 'Eh.' While I think it missed a lot of notes, I think there's definitely effort there. It's not just vomited onto the storefront like Gone Home, for example.
